Cherizena set to move from Engine Yard at Belvoir Castle to The Grange at Sedgebrook

A coffee and tea shop is moving from the Engine Yard to a new village location.

Cherizena, which sells artisan coffee beans and loose-leaf teas, has announced its relocation from the Engine Yard at Belvoir Castle to The Grange at Sedgebrook.

The Engine Yard shop will close on Sunday after five years, with the new store set to open its doors on July 1.

Tanith Wesson, director of Cherizena, was informed in May that the shop’s lease at the Engine Yard would not be renewed.

She said: “Whilst we are very sad about this as we have been a positive driving force at Engine Yard at Belvoir Castle for 5 years, I am a great believer that as one door closes another one opens.”

Cherizena becomes the latest independent business to leave the Engine Yard, after Cocoa Amore closed its store there in April.

In December 2022, B Jewellery and Idle Mole garden centre also left the retail village, with car parking charges and a drop in footfall cited as reasons.

On July 1, there will be an artisan market at The Grange from 9am to 2pm, where numerous local vendors will sell a range of handmade products.

At The Grange, Cherizena will join former Engine Yard tenant, Jorge Artisan Foods, as well as long-standing R & N Associates Asset Finance and LA Kitchen Collections.

Tanith said that businesses at The Grange would “foster a harmonious collaboration that creates a haven of culinary excellence”.

"We are overjoyed to begin this new chapter at The Grange," continued Tanith. "Our customers have been the heart of our journey, and we're thrilled to continue providing them with the highest quality artisan coffee beans and loose-leaf teas.

“The artisan market on July 1 will be a celebration of local talent and craftsmanship, and we can't wait to welcome everyone to our new home.”

Cherizena has also confirmed that a new space, available for special tasting events, will be part of the new store at The Grange.

Following the move to The Grange, Cherizena will be introducing a range of new products, including flavoured coffee beans and unique tea blends.
