Grantham Crematorium to allow more mourners to attend funerals
More people will be able to attend funeral services at Grantham Crematorium from next week.
From Monday (July 6) up to 24 mourners will be allowed inside the chapel instead of 10 and then 12 amid the coronavirus outbreak.
The doors will closed after this number has been reached.
Dignity, the operator of the crematorium, have re-assessed their chapel in line with social distancing to increase the number of mourners who can safely be admitted into the building, off Harrowby Road.
Grantham Cemetery was forced to close temporarily in April as part of the national restrictions to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
However it was able to reopen a week later after following new government guidelines, so that people can visit memorials to loved ones.
