Design a flag to mark anniversary of St Wulfram
St Wulfram’s Church is asking people to design a flag to mark the 1,300th anniversary of the death of St Wulfram next year.
Father Stuart Cradduck, rector of St Wulfram’s, said: “St Wulfram is a great example of multiculturalism, and a real advocate for working across political and historic divides. The church itself has a huge presence in the town, but unlike other local, national and international saints he doesn’t have a flag which represents him.
"So as part of our preparations for this significant year we are wanting to commission a new flag for Wulfram, and we hope as many people as possible will want to take part. Think about using simple shapes and designs which will stand out.”
Fr Stuart said the church is planning a series of events throughout the year to 'celebrate the life and witness of our Patron Saint and, our continued life, as the church in this place'.
People of all ages are encouraged to take part and draw and colour their design. They can take their designs into the church or send them to the Parish Office, Church St, Grantham NG31 6RR. The deadline is Good Friday, April 19.
