Drug-driver arrested in Grantham area and car seized

Cocaine and cannabis were in the system of a driver stopped in the Grantham area yesterday (Wednesday).

When Lincolnshire Police specialist operations officers initially stopped the yellow Seat they found the driver had only a provisional licence and no insurance.

A drugs test result showed positive for both class A drug cocaine and class B drug cannabis, and the driver was arrested.

In a tweet, the force said: "Driver has then failed to provide in custody #charged #drivesafe #dontdrugdrive"

The Seat was seized.
