EastEnders star Steve McFadden meets and greets Grantham pubgoers

EastEnders star Steve McFadden, who plays Phil Mitchell in the BBC soap, met pubgoers and signed autographs in the Gravity Bar on Saturday night.

Mr McFadden did a VIP meet and greet at the Market Place bar.

General manager Victoria Manley said: "There were over 200 people there. Steve had his picture taken with everybody. There was plenty of time to have a chat with him. It went very well."

Mr McFadden has played the role of Phil Mitchell since 1990. He graduated from RADA in 1987 and went on to play a number of small roles in film and TV before making his debut on EastEnders.
