Field fire in Easton near Grantham caused by a pylon spark, says Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue




A spark from a pylon has been blamed for a fire which damaged 15 acres of shrubland in a field south of Grantham.

Firefighters from Grantham and Corby Glen were called to the blaze in the field off Easton Lane, Easton, just before 1.40pm yesterday afternoon (Saturday).

Crews used six beaters, two backpacks and two hose reels to put out the flames.

Following an investigation, fire officers determined the cause to be a spark from a pylon in the field.
