Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue and East Midlands Ambulance to play charity football match at Grantham Town FC




Firefighters and ambulance crews are going head to head on the football field to raise money for the emergency services.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue’s football team takes on the East Midlands Ambulance Service on Saturday, October 12, from 1pm at Grantham Town Football Club.

The match will raise money for both fire and rescue and the ambulance service.

Kelvyn Brookes, Sleaford crew manager and who runs the football section of the fire service, said: “It’s a great cause to get behind, supporting both the fire service and ambulance service.

“The sports and welfare section is such an important thing in our line of work.

“It gives us a chance to come together and play football, which is always at a good standard.

“It’s also great for the mental wellbeing of the emergency responders.”

There will also be an open bar and entry to the match is free.
