Storm Babet causes issues for drivers all over Lincolnshire with the A1 and A52 among the roads affected

Long delays are being experienced by drivers on several major roads in the area.

Heavy rain due to Storm Babet is causing issues.

Delays of 15 minutes are happening between Forston and Long Bennington on the A1 Northbound between A1 and Valley Lane (Long Bennington / Cotham Turn Off).

Average speeds have dropped to 15 mph.

In the same area, similar delays on the A1 Southbound between the A1 and Great North Road are being experienced.

Average speeds in this direction are five mph.

Further north, delays of six minutes on the A1 Southbound between A1 and B6326 near Fernwood are occurring where the average speed is around ten mph.

Delays of seven minutes and increasing on the A46 Northbound near Flintham in Nottinghamshire are hampering journeys.

Average speeds in that area have dropped to ten mph.

On the A52 near Bingham, delays of eleven minutes Eastbound between Lees Barn Road and A46 are adding to journey times.

The average speed here is ten mph.

Delays of around ten minutes are occurring on the A612 Nottingham Road Eastbound between Chestnut Grove and the A6097 Epperstone By-Pass near Lowdham.

The average speed in this area is ten mph.

North of the area near Tuxford, delays of around eight minutes are occurring on the A1 Northbound where average speeds are travelling at 20 mph.
