Two friends, who served in the armed forces, are combining their expertise to start their own recruitment business.

Chris Buck and Howard Rudder will launch their new company, which is called Recruitme, on Monday (March 2) from their office in the George Centre in Grantham.

Chris, 31, and Howard, 47, say they will provide a more personal service for clients and not the mass recruitment many local companies provide. They say the business will cater for all sectors of business.

Chris said: “We want to tailor the service to individual needs. We do not see a job too small.”

Howard added: “We are quite flexible. We do not want to pigeon-hole ourselves.”

The pair have more than 20 years of experience between them in recruitment and human resources.

Chris began a career in the army as a non-commissioned officer and became a commanding officer on operations all over the world. After eight years he left to join a logistics firm and more recently worked with Howard managing offices for recruitment firm A4E in Sleaford and Stamford.

Chris grew up in the Vale of Belvoir and now lives in Grantham with his partner and their three children.

Howard left the navy 15 years ago after serving seven years to take up roles in HR. He started his current job on the same day as Chris. In 2013 they also set up Finding Your Feet, an on-line community helping veterans link with employers.

Howard has lived and worked in the Grantham area for 10 years.
