The Subway store in Grantham has a new owner and a vibrant new look.

Jane Pascoe took over the franchise just over two weeks ago and closed the store at 64 High Street for the first week to give it a complete refurbishment.

The popular sandwich operation is now open once again and already customers are making positive comments about the new look.

But, while the look of the store has changed, the staff behind the counter have not.

Jane, who is the owner manager, said: “I have taken on the existing staff, they are a fabulous team.”

She added: “We have put a lot into the improvements and the contractors, PS Shopfitting, have done an excellent job. Now we look forward to welcoming past customers and new ones too.”

It is planned to hold a grand opening on Saturday, March 28, which will coincide with the start of the schools’ Easter holiday. Customers can expect some tempting special offers on that day - the details of these will be announced nearer the time.

March 28 will also mark the start of new, longer opening hours on Friday and Saturday evenings, with the Subway store to stay open until 2am the following morning on those days. Normal opening hours from Monday to Thursday and on Sundays will continue.

Jane said: “We will trial the new late opening times for a probationary period of three months to gauge if there is a demand for longer opening.”

The Grantham Subway store employs five staff - two full-time and three part-time.
