Gents of St John’s perform ‘amazing' concert at St Wulfram’s Church in Grantham




A choir from Cambridge performed an “amazing” concert at a Grantham church.

The Gents of St John’s, formed from choral and organ scholars of the choir of St John’s College, Cambridge, visited St Wulfram’s Church last night (Thursday).

The first half featured William Byrd, Ralph Vaughan Williams and many others and the second half was a selection of close – harmony a cappella arrangements introduced by members of the group.

Melanie Brown, operations and development manager at St Wulfram’s and Grantham House, said: “[They] delivered an amazing choral concert for the audience.”

The Gents have been busy this summer at garden parties, May balls as well as undertaking the mini tour which included the visit to St Wulfram’s church last night.
