Wooden tree trunks and metal sheeting suffered severe damage in a 'controlled burning' at Witham on the Hill last night.

Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue said one hosereel jet was used to dampen down the surrounding area.

On Saturday morning at 9.48am, Grantham Fire Brigade attended a fire in Walton gardens, Grantham.

Two domestic sheds were found to be on fire. No cause was given for this.

The blaze was extinguished using two hose reels and one thermal imagine camera.
