Grantham Asda store puts a stop to 24-hour trading
The Asda store in Grantham will no longer be open 24 hours a day from Monday (June 12).
The company has taken the decision following a review of demand for 24 hours shopping at its stores. The company said that as a result of ‘recent monitoring of customer shopping habits’ it has decided to change its opening hours.
The company said no redundancies would be made as a result of the change in hours. A spokesman said: “No colleagues are affected due to the change of hours.”
A spokesman added: “After reviewing the opening hours of our Grantham store we are making some changes to align with how our customers choose to shop with us. The new opening times are 7am to midnight on Monday, 6am to midnight from Tuesday to Friday, 6am to 10pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.”
The store currently closes at 10pm on Saturdays and is open from 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
