Grantham brain injury support group to be launched by man seriously hurt in freak accident
A Grantham man who was left fighting for his life after a freak accident in 2010 is launching a support group for those affected by brain injury.
Jamie Bates is inviting anybody who has suffered a brain injury through an accident or illness, their relatives and carers to the meeting at 10am on Wednesday (May 20), in the Sandon Close Community Centre in Grantham.
Jamie suffered a serious head injury when he was 20-years-old after falling off the top of a car during a night out in Grantham. The group is being launched as part of Action for Brain Injury Week.
