Grantham care home holds a Fruity Friday!

A Grantham care home took part in National Nutrition and Hydration Week and held a Fruity Friday.

Apple Trees Care Home was just one of the homes in the Order of St John Care Trust to take part throughout the week with activities including smoothie making, painting and crafts sessions, and decorating cup cakes.

Caroline Dunagan, Lincolnshire Assistant Operations Director for OSJCT, said: “Proper nutrition is such a key part of a healthy lifestyle and is something we continuously push in each of our homes, so we’re delighted to continue supporting National Nutrition and Hydration Week.

“We always strive to give our residents the highest quality of care and ensuring that a wholesome diet is always on our menu is something our kitchen staff work hard to continuously maintain, in addition to making sure all our residents are eating well and keeping hydrated.

“As a Trust, we feel it’s very important to support initiatives like Nutrition & Hydration Week by helping to raise awareness in our local communities and encouraging a healthier lifestyle for all.”
