The reception area was declared open by Darren Joint, chair of Grantham Business Club, who cut the ribbon, supported by Howard Rudder, the Business Club’s vice chair.

JMP Solicitors, which currently employs 22 people, arrived in Grantham 15 years ago when it was based in offices off Alma Park.

It moved to a more central location in Dysart Road about three years ago and also closed its Warrington office to concentrate on the Grantham business.

Director Yvonne Carratt said the new reception area helped to make the offices more inviting to visitors.

She said: “We also have free parking around the building and it all helps make for a far better environment for clients to come and visit us.”

Ian Howard, managing director, said: “There are a lot more opportunities in Grantham.

“Rather than diluting what we do we decided to focus on this area.”

He said the planned opening of the town’s inner relief road would help existing firms and also encourage other businesses into Grantham.

He added: “There are a lot of like-minded businesses out there which want to put Grantham on the map.

Mr Joint said: “It’s a great privilege to have been asked to cut the ribbon for JMP.

“I hope this is the first of many opportunities I’ll have to help to celebrate successful businesses expanding their operations in Grantham and employing more local people.

“JMP is a great example of the opportunities to grow right here in town, they should be congratulated for doing so and also for supporting of the local community in many ways.

“During this year, the Business Club is planning to support business growth directly by encouraging existing members to help newly formed and start up businesses. Who knows, we might be able to give a helping hand to the next success story like JMP.”
