Grantham post office services open in WHSmith store

Grantham post office opened in WHSmith this morning, following the decision to close the St Peter's Hill branch.

The St Peter's Hill office closed for the last time yesterday.

The new post office, situated at the back of the WHSmith store on High Street, has three serving positions and two self-service kiosks. Services are available from 8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 2pm on Sundays.

The same range of products and services will be available, with the exception of a cash machine – although all Post Office branches now offer customers access to their high street bank account.

A public consultation was held after the Post Office announced its decision to close its St Peter’s Hill branch in December, but it later confirmed its services would be run from WHSmith. More than 130 WHSmith stores now have post office services.
