Grantham primary school celebrates excellent church report




A primary school is celebrating an excellent church report.

St Anne’s Church of England Primary School was inspected recently and the overall judgment was ‘excellent’.

The Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) report said St Anne’s had a Christian vision that ‘is aspirational and expresses a deep desire that everyone should flourish’.

The report also said that ‘pupils bubble with enthusiasm in their classrooms’ and ‘the culture of aspiration and enjoyment in learning is palpable’.

Among its key findings the report says: “Every child and adult matters at St Anne’s school so that individuals are valued within this family. Consequently they can live a fulfilled life rooted in a deep sense of love for one another.”

The report also says that collective worship is the ‘heartbeat of the school day’ and it inspires both adults and children in their journey together.

According to the report: “Leaders at all levels are unswerving in their commitment that all pupils receive the very best educational opportunities. Parents are fulsome in their praise for the generous support they receive from the
school.”

Headteacher Jonathan Austin said: “It’s a wonderful report and a true reflection of our thriving school community. I would like to say a huge thank you to the staff, pupils, parents, governors and local church community for their part in our flourishing school. It is a school to cherish.”

Mr Austin also said that St Anne’s is the second most oversubscribed primary school in the county.
