Staff at Anytime Fitness Grantham take on walking challenge to raise money for British Red Cross Society in support of the people of Ukraine

The staff at a town centre gym have walked a marathon distance to raise money to support the people of Ukraine.

Three members of the team at Anytime Fitness Grantham have completed eight hours of constant walking between them, as they look to raise money for the British Red Cross Society, who is helping the people of Ukraine.

Viktoria Jupe set up a JustGiving page and took on the challenge today (Wednesday) with the help of colleagues Cains and Ehren, and they have so far raised over £100.

In total, the trio covered 27.3 miles, taking 70,107 setps and burning 3,441 calories in the process.

The treadmill in use for the challenge was decorated with the colours of the Ukrainian flag, and a donation pot was put in the gym for members to donate cash to the cause.

Anytime's window cleaner, Barrett's Window Cleaning, donated the equivalent of five window cleaning sessions, which Viktoria said was "really nice".
