St Barnabas Hospice, with bases in Grantham and Lincoln, to relaunch Care For A Cuppa coffee mornings
Hospice staff are looking to relaunch its coffee morning campaign.
This summer, St Barnabas Hospice, which has bases in Lincoln and Grantham, is relaunching its Care For a Cuppa coffee morning campaign.
The coffee mornings can be held in peoples homes, a village hall or their local pub and the aim is to raise money for the hospice, enjoy some delicious cakes and get together with friends.
Hannah Saddington recently heId a coffee morning in Grantham in memory of her dad, who was cared for by the hospice.
She said: “I was scrolling through Instagram when I came across the post about hosting a Care For a Cuppa.
“I had other friends and family who had also spent time in the hospice and wanted to raise money for a truly wonderful cause.
“The hospice not only cares for the patient, but does an amazing job looking after the whole family.
“I would like to thank all my friends and family for supporting this fundraiser on a rainy Saturday.”
Hannah and her family managed to raise £406.30 at the time of the cheque presentation for the hospice. This has now increased to £456.30.
Fiona Malloch-Rear, community fundraiser for Grantham, said: “We would like to thank Hannah and all her family for hosting such a great event and raising so much.
“This money will be used to support people at the hospice in the hospital in Grantham and give them much needed care at the most difficult time.”
