Hunt sabs in Belton House protest

Around 20 protesters from the League Against Cruel Sports, ‘National Distrust’ and others protested against fox hunting at Belton House last Sunday.

They believe ‘trail hunting’ is a cover for fox hunting.

A spokesman said the event passed without trouble and Belton House staff made them welcome.

A National Trust spokesperson said the trust accepts protests on its land as long as they are respectful and don’t interfere with visitors.

It imposes conditions on trial hunting, details of which can be found on its website.
