Intentional strangulation and assault charges faced by Grantham man
A 66-year-old man has appeared before magistrates to face allegations of intentional strangulation, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault and sexual assault.
Neil Horace Gascoyne, of New Street, Grantham, appeared via video link from prison before Boston Magistrates' Court.
The court was told he had been in custody since a first appearance on October 10 following his arrest and there had been no application for bail.
Gascoyne has already pleaded guilty to the offences of intentional strangulation on October 9 and an assault by beating committed at New Street on September 20, but has denied the allegations of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and the sexual assault, also said to have been committed on October 9.
The victim cannot be named for legal reasons.
Gascoyne was remanded in custody until his trial at Lincoln Magistrates Court on December 2.
