Regular contributor Michael Matsell may have now moved from the town, but he continues to provide us with photographs for Memory Lane.

He made the trip back to town last week, as he wanted to highlight that in Grantham there are several war memorials which many people may not realise are there.

One is on the wall at the old Aveling-Barford site, while another can be found inside St Peter’s Hill post office.

Michael also wanted to remind people that the war memorial originally from the pulpit of the former United Reformed Church in Castlegate, is now on the wall inside ChristChurch on Finkin Street, having being renovated and rededicated.

There is a book next to it with details of those men named.
