Former Grantham man sentenced for 15 years over serious sexual offences
A 76-year-old man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after he was found guilty of 19 charges of serious sexual offences against children.
Bryan Lockwood, formerly of Albert Street in Grantham, was sentenced when he appeared at Lincoln Crown Court last Wednesday (August 23).
It comes after he was convicted of all 19 charges – which date as far back as 1986 – earlier this year in July.
The result comes after a lengthy investigation by Lincolnshire Police, with DC Dave Ziller paying tribute to the bravery of Lockwood’s victims who came forward.
DC Ziller praised their courage and was delighted to finally see justice done.
"This is a very positive conclusion to a long investigation and one that hopefully allows the victims and families the chance to have some closure after many years,” said DC Ziller.
"However this is also a reminder that there is no stereo typical offender or victim, every person, agency and organisation must continue to do all they can to keep children and young people safe from harm and encourage them to speak out."

“If you’re not ready to talk to the police just yet, that’s OK.”
