A Grantham man has received a further jail sentence after stealing vodka from a store.

Gregory Guille, aged 45, of London Road, Grantham, had denied stealing two bottles of AU vodka, valued at £64, from Sainsbury’s in Grantham on January 15, 2023, but magistrates found him guilty in his absence.

Guille was jailed for a total of 20 weeks and was handed a criminal behaviour order banning him from various stores in the town.

He had already received a four-month prison sentence in June for offences including theft, drugs possession, and using threatening or abusive language.

The criminal behaviour order will last three years and prohibits Guille from entering retail premises in Grantham town centre including Asda and Sainsbury’s, and Grantham Retail Park on Gonerby Road, unless accompanied by a support worker or responsible officer. The order does not include Grantham Pharmacy in the High Street.
