‘Mindless’ vandals cause hundreds of pounds of damage to Grantham scout hut
‘Mindless’ vandals have caused hundreds of pounds worth of damage to a Grantham scout hut.
An appeal has been launched after the St Anne’s Scout Hut in Harrowby Road was broken into and damaged overnight between Thursday and Friday.
The break-in is thought to have taken place between 4pm on Thursday and 7am on Friday.
Helen Warburton put out the appeal, describing the incident as “completely mindless”.
Thankfully, nothing was taken, but Helen said “a lot of damage” was caused to the inside and outside of the building, including multiple broken windows and a smashed up sink in the ladies toilets.
