Lincolnshire County Council release more time slots for 'click and tip' at household waste recycling centres, including Grantham

More than 17,000 new time slots have been released today (Wednesday) for residents to take their waste to the tip.

Lincolnshire County Council has launched the 'click and tip' service for its household waste recycling centres, including Grantham.

Councillor Eddy Poll, executive member for waste, said: "Lots of residents have been in touch wanting to dispose of their general waste accumulated through lockdown, so we've moved a number of processes around and have made this possible."

On three days next week, all household waste recycling centres across the county will only accept black bagged non-recyclable general waste on:

  • Monday 1 June
  • Tuesday 2 June
  • Sunday 7 June

Tips in Grantham, Sleaford, Bourne, Louth, Skegness and Kirkby on Bain will be accepting green waste, wood, paper, cardboard, glass, electricals and scrap metal on:

  • Wednesday 3 June
  • Thursday 4 June

All tips across the county will be able to accept green waste, wood, paper, cardboard, glass, electricals and scrap metal on:

  • Friday 5 June
  • Saturday 6 June

Coun Poll added: "We know this is a change to how we do things – to have a single waste type being accepted at a time, but we know our residents need to get rid of their lockdown waste. This enables us to have the containers and processes in place to accept it quickly and easily."
