New chief executive chosen for trust which runs Grantham hospital
A new chief executive has been chosen for the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
It was announced at the latest board meeting at Grantham hospital that a new CEO had been chosen from four candidates and it had been a unanimous decision.
Board chairman Ron Buchanan said the new chief executive was not being named yet because of due process.
Current chief executive Jane Lewington announced in April she was leaving the post after working in the NHS for 33 years. She joined ULHT in 2010 as director of strategy and performance and was appointed CEO in December 2012.
She said: “Being chief executive at ULHT is a great privilege and it is the role that has given me the greatest job satisfaction in all my 33 years in the NHS.”
A ULHT spokesman said the new chief executive would be named in the next few weeks.
