New general manager appointed at Newton House Care Home in Grantham

A Grantham care home has appointed a new general manager.

Staff at Barchester Healthcare’s Newton House Care Home, in Barrowby Road, have welcomed a new general manager to head up the team.

Sonia Fairhurst will oversee the running of the 120 bed home and will be responsible for a team of 126.

Prior to starting in this position Sonia has been a part of the Barchester for 13 years and in that time has been a nurse, deputy manager and general manager.

Most recently Sonia was a regional clinical development nurse before coming to Newton House.

Newton House Care Home is one of over 200 care homes owned by Barchester Healthcare. The home regularly holds events and activities for its residents and surrounding neighbours.

Sonia said: “I am delighted to join the team here at Newton House Care Home and I’m enjoying meeting and getting to know our residents. I’m looking forward to managing this home and continuing to provide high quality care.”
