Obituary: Mr Eldon Bell Riley
Mr Eldon Bell Riley (Don), of Sedgebrook Road, Woolsthorpe-by-Belvoir, has died in The Willows Care Home. He was 93.
Mr Riley was born in Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear.
He grew up in Whitley Bay and Newcastle and was brother to Joan and Douglas.
It was while he was billeted in Woolsthorpe-by-Belvoir that he met his future wife, Doreen. They were married and had a son, Doug. They lived in Woolsthorpe-by-Belvoir for over 60 years.
Mr Riley was a bricklayer and had worked for Foster’s Builders and Roberts of Bottesford.
In his younger days Mr Riley enjoyed dancing. He was also a keen gardener and he enjoyed watching horse racing.
The funeral service was held at St Andrew’s Church, Denton, conducted by Lesley Devine. Cremation followed in Grantham.

Funeral arrangements were by Geeson Funeral Directors, Westgate, Grantham.
