Mrs Marjorie Rose Jackson, of Church Lane, Sedgebrook, has died in Grantham Hospital. She was 91.

She was born in Canada.

Mrs Jackson came to England with her mother and two sisters following the death of her father.

She worked on the family farm until her marriage, when she moved to Sedgebrook. Eventually Mrs Jackson opened a shop in the village.

Her interests included gardening, watching the birds and making jigsaws.

The Rev Harriet Orridge conducted the funeral service at St Lawrence Church, Sedgebrook. Cremation followed at Grantham Crematorium Chapel.

Family mourners included: Kevin Johnston and Jasmin, Brian and Karen Johnston, Jordan and Dylan, Garry Johnston, Sandra Jackson, Tony and Janet Jackson, Richard and Karen Jackson and David and Marlene Jackson.

Other mourners included: Joyce Wadsworth, Janice Reece, Rose and John Godfrey, Pat and Mick Herring, Christine Colton, Sylvia Parker, Brenda De’Ath, Brian Glover, Heather Selby, Jeanette Roberts, Frances Watkins, Roy and Brenda Calcraft, Rebecca Calcraft, Shirley Barton, Michael Calcraft (Ruskington), Graham Betts, Mike and Sybil Hubbard, Catherine Keirle, Tina Moules, Mrs J. Carr, Mrs E. Lewis, Amanda and Audrey Holden, Susan Parr, Francesca Robinson, Ann McNeish, Michael Calcraft, Bruce and Angela Tapson, Janet Pacey, Gaynor McKay, Roy Jackson and Alan Cooke.

Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.

Donations were received for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
