Staff and children celebrate Stepping Stones receiving another 'outstanding' Ofsted report.

A popular Grantham nursery has once again been rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, with a report which says ‘parents consider their children very lucky to attend such a wonderful nursery’.

Staff at Stepping Stones nursery on Agnes Street are delighted that their hard work has once again been recognised, with Ofsted describing their leadership as ‘inspirational’.

They have earned ‘outstanding’ ratings in all areas of the inspection; how well the early years provision meets the needs of the range of children who attend, the contribution of the early years provision to the well-being of children, and the effectiveness of the leadership and management.

Inspector Jane Rushby writes: “The high level of qualified staff and the exceptional teaching practice have a postive impact on the learning experiences the nursery provides for children. Support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those who speak English as an additional language is exceptional.”

She adds: “Children’s behaviour is exceptionally good, with staff acting as excellent role models.”

Owners Di Smith and Sue Jenkins said: “We are delighted that all the hard work and dedication of the staff has been recognised by Ofsted. The staff commitment and care cannot be faulted - they are a great team.”

Nicky Pugh, manager, added: “We intend to continue to strive for improvement and will keep pushing forward with new ideas and initiatives. We are proud of our provision and feel passionate about its future.”
