A southbound lane of the A1 is closed near the Dry Doddington exit

One lane of the A1 is closed between Grantham and Newark this morning because of a broken down vehicle.

The lane is closed southbound, just before the Dry Doddington exit.

It has been caused by a broken down empty car transporter. Police are on the scene.

Avoid the area if you can.
