Out-of-control fire in Ropsley garden causes damage

A greenhouse was damaged by an out-of-control fire in a garden in Ropsley yesterday (Thursday).

Firefighters from Grantham were called to Paddock Close at around 12.25pm, after receiving reports of "a fire in the open".

There was severe damage to the greenhouse, two metres of hedgerow, a tree, garden tools, a water butt and garden waste.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said the flames were extinguished using two hose reels.
