Over 100 guests enjoy Rotary Club of Grantham’s 85th Charter night

The Rotary Club of Grantham has held its 85th Charter night at Stoke Rochford Hall, south of Grantham.

President David Burr welcomed over 100 guests and thanked all his members for their efforts during his term in office which he and his wife Linda had thoroughly enjoyed.

District Governor Geoff Blurton also thanked the Club for all their work and in particular their efforts in the ‘RotarySwimarathon’ where he had been inspired to see the determination of the swimmers.

Guest speaker was Rotarian Chris Knight who spoke on ‘My Olympic Dream’ – from the point of taking part in the Opening Ceremony.

Mr Burr finished the evening with presentations of Paul Harris Awards to Rotarian Peter Berry and Inner Wheel member Pam Metcalf.
