Peace demonstration in Grantham will call for end to conflict in Gaza

A peace demonstration calling for an end to the conflict in Gaza has been planned in Grantham town centre.

Saziya Mirza is organising the demonstration, which is set to take place in St Peter’s Hill on Saturday December 2 from 2pm to 4pm.

She previously held a protest in Wyndham Park on October 29, which called for a ceasefire in the Middle East.

Saziya said that the event was “a total success” with a “decent crowd”, praising the range of “different backgrounds” from the community that joined the protest.

District Councillors Charmaine Morgan (Ind, St Vincent’s) and Patsy Ellis (Green, St Vincent’s) were also in attendance at the protest.

A prayer was shared for the thousands of people of all faiths who had died in the conflict so far.
