Janeene said: “I am still in awe and actually have to keep thinking, did this actually happen?

“It was phenomenal experience to watch and seen how it was all done. Gareth Malone kept us entertained from time to time.

“That evening it was amazing to the see the GB flags across the crowd and actually see the royals sitting across from us and watching our performance.”

All of the group members at Unify are deaf and they come together from all over the country to rehearse over Zoom.

Janeene continued: “It was a honour. Not just that, my brother and other family members have served their country.

“I could not be part of any forces due to my deafness, but going on that stage I felt like I had done my part too.

“It was very moving and emotional. It’s so hard to describe this magnificent feeling. I saw a few famous faces too!”

After watching the performance back, Janeene said that she had “goosebumps” and was “proud” to be part of the concert.

She added that the deaf community could “be proud” of Unify’s performance.

Unify was also be featured on the BBC 1 documentary about the Coronation Choir, which aired last Friday evening.

Janeene performed with Unify in Manchester last year at an event to mark Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee.
