Police appeal for witnesses after mother robbed while walking with her two-year-old son in Grantham
Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses in connection with the robbery of a young mother in a Grantham alleyway.
On Friday, May 1, around 8am, the woman in her twenties was robbed by two white males in the alleyway between Uplands Drive and Harrowby Lane.
The incident, which left the woman with minor injuries, happened while she was walking with her two-year-old son when she was stopped by the two men.
One of the men demanded money before assaulting her by punching her in the face. The offenders then made off on foot down the alleyway towards Uplands Drive with loose change stolen from the woman.
In a statement Lincolnshire Police said: "Two males, aged 16 and 18, have been arrested in connection with this incident and released under investigation.
"We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone who may have any information that can assist with our investigation.
