Police investigate ‘racially aggravated comments’ made by group of youths in Grantham




Police responded to a report that a group of youths had made racially aggravated comments to a man in Grantham town centre.

Lincolnshire Police confirmed the report was received at around 1.30pm yesterday (Wednesday) by a member of the public and not the victim, who did not hear the comments.

A 14-year-old boy was identified as a suspect and will be dealt with via a community resolution.

A police spokesperson said: “We received a report that a group of youths had made racially aggravated comments to a man in the Westgate area of Grantham.

“The report was made by a member of the public and not the victim, who did not hear the comments.

“The suspect, a 14-year-old boy, was identified and located by officers from the local Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) and he will be dealt with via a community resolution.”
