Services from Grantham and Lincoln to London face disruption this weekend

Railway bosses are warning of a number of potential disruptions to services through the county this weekend.

London North Eastern Railway has asked customers not to travel from stations north of York tomorrow (Friday, January 24) and warned of minor delays on all other services between Grantham and London due to the impact of Storm Eowyn.

The Met Office has issued multiple weather warnings this weekend due to the storm, including most recently the potential for flooding towards the end of the weekend.

Over the weekend itself, LNER has planned engineering work taking place as part of its East Coast Digital Programme.

This will mean there will be no LNER services to/from London King’s Cross and reduced service in both directions between Scotland and Peterborough and Leeds and Peterborough.

Customers travelling to or from Central London will be offered a rail replacement coach service between Peterborough and Bedford to connect with other operators' services to/from London St Pancras.

For more information, customers should check LNER’s website and social media feeds.

Impacted journeys could be significantly longer than usual.

Some services will start from/terminate at different stations than usual and some services will be cancelled.
