Sofa retailer set to move to new home in Grantham

Sofa retailer and manufacturer DFS has announced plans to move to a bigger unit at Grantham’s Gonerby Road Retail Park.

The new store will officially open on August 1 and bosses say it will provide a fresh look with more room to show off its range of products.

The retailer employs seven people at the existing store on the Gonerby Road Retail Park.

They will stay with the company when it moves to the unit nextdoor.

Store manager at DFS Grantham, Paul Ferguson, said: “I am very proud to be managing this new-look shop in its new improved location.

“The store team are looking forward to hearing what the local community think of the new space.”

DFS regional sales manager, Muz Hussain said: “We are delighted to be able to invest in Grantham and provide our valued customers with a modern and comfortable relocated store.

“This underlines our long-term commitment to the area and I’m sure it will be enjoyed by existing and new customers alike.”

The move is likely to pave the way for home and garden retailer The Range to move on to the retail park in the near future, creating about 100 jobs.
