South Kesteven residents can renew or sign up for this year's green bin collection

South Kesteven District Council (SKDC) is calling on people to renew or sign up for their ‘garden waste collection service’ scheme before fortnightly collections start on Monday, April 6.

Last year more than 29,000 households joined the scheme.

The council’s cabinet member for commercial and operations, Councillor Peter Moseley, said: “SKDC can help by taking green waste away to save residents the time and trouble of trips to the tip. If you join today, you’ll be ready to start gardening when spring is fully under way.

“There is no limit to the number of garden waste bins you can buy, so whatever amount of green waste you produce, we can deal with it for you quickly and efficiently.”

Customers can renew or register now, paying by direct debit at http://www.southkesteven.gov.uk/greenbin

A bin sticker and/or bin will be delivered direct to scheme members who should put the sticker on their bin as soon as it arrives.

The cost for the year-round service in 2020/21 is £41. Customers pay £36 if payment is made online or by direct debit.

New customers would pay £72 by direct debit (bin £26; delivery £10; fee £36) or £77 if they pay by phone or in person.
