Swarm of bees descends on Grantham car dealers
A huge swarm of bees have descended on a car dealers this afternoon.
The buzzing crowd have settled on the boot of a car at Ray Dove Car Sales, on Cambridge Street.
Owner, Ray Dove, said: "It was my colleague that first noticed them who said they just seemed to arrive all at once like a whirlwind. We didn't know what to think."
Luckily, Mark Towner, who works for South Kesteven District Council (SKDC) was having his lunch in a cafe opposite and came over to help.
Mark said: "I phoned Roy Parker, of Grantham and District Beekeepers' who arrived shortly afterwards."
Roy, who has been a bee keeper for over 50 years, said: "They are not dangerous when they are swarming around as they are not protecting a nest. The Queen bee will be laying around 2,000 eggs a day to make the nest stronger. "
Once Roy has enticed them into his bee box, he will take them to a friends to look after.
