Grantham Tennis Club submits plans to add more solar panels to main building

A tennis club has applied to add solar panels to its roof.

Grantham Tennis Club has submitted a planning application to expand the number of solar panels on the roof of its building in Gonerby Road.

The application explained that the club already has a small array of solar panels, but wants to expand.

It said: “We have contacted a couple installers and have an idea of layout. The north facing roof would remain empty.

“The majority of the south facing roof would ideally be covered (depending on cost).

“Also depending on cost, we are looking at battery storage options.”
