Third man arrested in connection with robbery at Ancaster Co-op

A third man has been arrested in connection with the robbery at Ancaster Co-op on Wednesday, May 30.

The 28-year-old man was last night (Wednesday) detained on suspicion of robbery and remains in custody for questioning.

Two men were arrested on Saturday in relation to this offence and were charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and appeared in custody at Lincoln Magistrates Court on Monday morning the 4th June. They are Jack Hess (aged 25) and Josh McLellan (aged 22), both from Peterborough. McLellan was additionally charged with driving whilst disqualified. The detectives on the case have also renewed their appeal for witnesses and any further information about the robbery which was reported tojust after 10.30pm on Wednesday evening the 30th May at the Co-op Food Store, Ermine Street, Ancaster.
