Thunderstorm over Grantham as Met Office issues yellow weather warning




Heavy rainfall over the Grantham area this morning (Thursday) has caused flooding on some roads.

The area has woken up to thunder, lightning and heavy rain, with rain set to last into the middle of the afternoon.

According to the Met Office, there is 80-90 per cent chance of heavy rain up to around 3pm, and it should come to a stop altogether by tea-time.

It has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms across Grantham and most of the East Midlands.

Motorists are advised to take care on the roads.
