Grantham tip will be able to accept more kinds of waste from Monday (May 25).

Household Waste Recycling Centres (tips) across the county, including the site at Mowbeck Way in Grantham, will be able to accept more waste, sooner.

From Monday, residents will be able to take cardboard and glass to sites across the county, as well as garden waste and wood which is already accepted. But residents must book a slot first before going to a site.

And from Monday, June 1, residents will also be able to take electricals, scrap metal and black bagged residual waste.

Councillor Eddy Poll, executive councillor for waste and recycling at Lincolnshire County Council said: "Residents had been in touch asking to bring extra items to the sites, so we've worked hard over the past week to make this possible.

"To use the sites, you must book a timeslot via www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/clickandtip or call 01522 782070. Although there are a large number available, we will be releasing more slots on Tuesday, May 26."

Phone lines are open Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. (Closed Bank Holiday Monday, May 25).
