‘Tough Mudder’ brothers from Grantham take on extreme challenge all across UK

Two Grantham brothers have set themselves the challenge to complete seven extreme obstacle courses all around the UK, in order to raise as much money as possible for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Starting on May 2, Kingsley Tudor, 25, from Cowes Road and Mike Tudor, 30, from Ventnor Avenue, will be scaling 10ft walls, jumping into ice-filled skips, and risking electric shocks running through fields of live wires in the Tough Mudder challenge.

However while most participants only put themselves through one Tough Mudder a year, the Tudors have decided to travel 1,900 miles around the country and compete in all seven of the 10-12 mile mud filled courses.

“We’ve ran Tough Mudder events for the past two years. This year it’s time for a change and to force us to train a bit more we will be running every Tough Mudder event in the UK,” explains Mike. “Last year’s event saw Kingsley accidentally swallow some kind of animal faeces and lose a stone over a few days. We’re normally pretty sore for a day or two afterwards too.

“If you want to see someone suffer for your cash, then you are in the right place,” he added. “This year they have just announced a change up in the obstacles - tear gas being added looks to make things interesting.”

The brothers have a fund-raising target of £2000, and say that if they reach this by the last weekend of events on September 26 and 27, they will do both runs scheduled on the Saturday and Sunday.

The brothers are also looking for corporate sponsors, who can receive ad space on their shirts.
