Traffic delays after collision between car and tractor on A1

Traffic is still moving slowly on the A1 Southbound after a collision between a tractor and a car this afternoon.

It caused long tailbacks due to heavy traffic and blocked lanes.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: "Incident 192 of today, reported at 13:08pm.

Two-vehicle collision (car and tractor), on the A1 at Grantham, just next to the turn-off for Great Ponton.The car has ended up upside down.

Traffic moving slowly as vehicles recovered."

Eyewitnesses reported seeing several police cars and an air ambulance.
