Traffic is queueing on Barrowby Road because of a broken down lorry

Traffic is queueing on Barrowby Road in Grantham because of a broken down lorry.

The lorry has been coned off after it stopped heading up the road. It is believed it has struck the metal bollards at the Asda roundabout causing one or more tyres to burst.

The AA is reporting traffic backed up down to the roundabout with heavy traffic in the surrounding area.

Steve Chapman, who saw the lorry parked up, said: “In fairness, the bollards are not as prominent or visible as they could be, and at least one of them has rusted a hole in the top, so they are due a refresh at least.

“Maybe some additional HGV signage to warn that HGVs turning left onto Barrowby Road should take the centre line on approach?”
